What do you do on cast?
I end up playing a whole slew of characters, but I usually play Janet and on occasion Trixie. Janet is definitely the character I relate to the most but I love playing both.
What made you want to join Barely Legal?
They are an awesomely hot cast. You really get a sense of family when you are around everyone on cast and the audience members. They put on a great show every week and have fun doing it. It's really nice when a group of people as weird as you accept you with open arms and look forward to seeing you every weekend.
What appeals to you about Rocky Horror?
How can you not love the ability to run around in your unmentionables and dance for all to see? It is so much better then doing it in your room and getting weird looks from your roommate (if I had a roommate who wasn't doing the same thing as me). I also couldn't imagine doing anything more fun on a late Saturday night. I basically am doing what I would be anyway after a few drinks at a party? Clothes come off and the Time Warp comes on.
What is your favorite Rocky Horror related moment?
My favorite moments in Rocky probably have to come from being an audience member. It's the being able to watch the movie with actual people dancing around all dressed up acting it out as it is going. It's the having the cast interact with you during the show, and those rare occasions when you get pulled onto stage when you least expect it for something special (had my first kiss with my boyfriend up there). Rocky is one of the highlights of my life, and anyone involved will tell you -- you can try your hardest to get out, but you'll always end up coming back.
What do you do when you're not at Rocky Horror?
Right now I am a student at the University of California, Santa Cruz where I live and do all that fun stuff that entails in being a college student. I am a book nerd which most find surprising and also teach safer sex classes on the side. Other then that, I am usually just hanging out with friends and/or go dancing.
Aside from Rocky, what is your favorite obsession?
Probably have to say my pet turtle, Herman. He is just the coolest thing in the world and is love of my life. He is a Sulcata which is the second largest breed of land tortoise. This little guy is going to be huge! Plus I love the idea that he is going to outlive me.
